To Future Raincoast Customers:
We found Hunter’s contact info online and on the initial encounter were immediately impressed by his passion for qualitative conception. Not only was Hunter’s refreshing enthusiasm a selling point but his quote was comprehensively better than 2 alternatives we received!
My wife and I recently purchase the house of 81yrs. We were the second owners and were blessed with an entirely original fir floor, top and bottom, in solid condition. Hunter and his loyal apprenticing employee promptly removed the linoleum and mended some of the devitalised areas. I can’t tell you how many nails, the previous owner (aka Mr. Squeaky) had used to calm the shrills. Our quote remained consistent. Next; sanding the floors in preparation for the stain is an art. Hunter uses an archaic machine made in Germany, I believe, which no doubt is probably the best out there. It’s a beast. Turned my floors into an ice rink. Old nail heads and all….
Less than two days into the process, floors were ready for staining. Again, an art form of which Hunter again, proved was up to the challenge. His consistent enlightening inputs were huge in our decision making factors. After a myriad of physical samples, my wife and I opted for a gorgeous, coffee stain on the old fir, and couldn’t be happier. I believe the whole process was < 4days. Our beautiful floors are most definitely the focal point of our restoration. Check out the pics!
Once said and done I would highly recommend Raincoast Floors, and will be using them in the future for the basement restoration. …
Thx Hunter.
